Flowers In Bloom.

What a gorgeous day!! Spring time is definitely in the air and I am totally taking advantage.  It's super windy though but I'm loving the breeze.  I received so much great feedback yesterday on my outfit post between my facebook, instagram and pinterest accounts so thanks so much you guys!!

I don't know about any of you, but dressing up a little bit and adding some color to my ensemble instantly puts me in a good mood.  So sometimes, even on low key days when I don't have a whole lot to do, I'll throw on a pair of heels.  That's exactly what I did today.  I was able to take some shots at the park so I hope that you like them! :)

I'm dressed very girly today.  I have on a sheer floral top with little buttons on the sleeves that I found at Forever21.  I was never really that much into floral print.  But I have been seeing flowers everywhere and lately I have been more drawn to them.  I paired it with these skinny colored jeans that are also from Forever21. I love this color!

I'm wearing mary jane platform pumps that were an amazing find at Mandee.  These shoes are so comfortable and I love the thick high heel.  For only $34, these were a great purchase!  I'm so happy I found them because I am super obsessed.

I found this clutch at Mandee and it goes perfect.  It's the same shade just a little brighter so I like the effect it has on this outfit.  It also comes with a thin gold chain so I can wear it as a shoulder bag too.  I have on the choker chain necklace that I wore yesterday.  I love it so much.  I've got on these big flower earrings that I think I got from H&M, along with these rings and suede charm bracelet.  My nails match too but it was unintentional.  I'm wearing Watermelon by Essie.  And my lipgloss is Pink Poodle from MAC.

I tried to shoot without my shades on but I couldn't stop squinting :(  The sun was beaming in my eyes and this wind had my hair all over the place lol but it was fun shooting at the park.  I'm on the look out for new sunglasses too.  I found my oversized Marc Jacobs one but I'm just more into the aviator style now!  I should probably switch it up though.  Anyway, I hope that you all get outside today and enjoy this amazing weather while it lasts!!

A Touch of CORAL.

I'm back! I really didn't think I would have time to shoot outside today, but I was able to & I'm so happy especially because it's gorgeous!  The purpose of my outfit today, and the main reason for this post is to show how you can take something so simple and dress it up with accessories & a little bit of color.

I'm wearing skinny jeans from Forever21 with a plain loose fitted top from H&M.  It has a little pocket on the side and it's very comfy!  It's one of those shirts that gets wrinkled every 2.5 seconds so thankfully my steamer gets those out!

I'm using my statement envelope clutch which I love but I didn't really want to use it with this outfit.  However it did go the best out of the ones that I have.  I'm wearing coral chunky heel pumps from Target that were on clearance for only $20 :)  Since my top is white and I just have on regular dark denim jeans, adding this color makes the outfit really pop and also dresses it up more.

I found this gold chain necklace that can be worn as a choker at H&M and I fell in love with it.  I have so many statement necklaces and longer length ones but nothing like this.  I like the effect it gave this outfit.  I'm wearing Aldo earrings, and rings from H&M as well.  No bracelets today.  I was cleaning out my car and found these aviators that I got from Forever21 last year.  There's gold lining across the top front.  So I decided to give my Ray-Bans a break :)

The final touch and one of the most important ones is my lip color!  This is Full Speed from MAC and as you can see it actually matches with my shoes.  It's a bright funky color and I just love the way it brought everything together.

Get outside today and soak up this warmer weather!

Outfit Recreations

Happy hump day lovers!  I was thinking of something a little different that I could do for my blog and I decided to recreate some of my favorite outfits.  I made 3 different fashion sets to show you how you can recreate my looks!  Some of the items are different, but you will get the idea.  I have done a bunch of fashion sets with other models and I thought it would be fun to try this out with my own photos.  Let me know what you think!

Style is ETERNAL

Recreation- Spring Looks

Simplicity

I seriously enjoy doing these so much.  It's also a great way to make a similar look for yourself but by putting your own spin on it.  I'm not sure if I'll have time to do a shoot today but I will definitely try and snap some pics of my outfit! Have a great day!! <3

Combat Boots & A Bun

Happy Monday!  It's the start of a new a week and I'm feeling really good!  I wasn't going to post my outfit today, but decided last minute that I would for you guys.  I think it's good to show different ways of wearing something so that you can get more use of it.  This top is from Siwy and one of my favorites, mostly because it's comfortable and it's one of those versatile items that you can do a lot with.  The sun is beaming today but there's still a chill in the air.  I thought this was a perfect outfit for this type of weather.

The last time I wore this top I wore it over leggings with wedges.  This time I dressed it down by tying it at the bottom and pairing it with basic leggings and my combat boots.  It's been a little while since I wore these boots and I was in the mood to take them out of my closet today.  To add a little more to this look, I put my hair in a big bun and then put on one of my headbands.  It funked it up a bit.

I didn't have much to do this afternoon besides run a couple of errands, and then I stopped by MAC to pick up a new lipstick shade.  I remember when I was more obsessed with lipgloss, but lately I've been more into lipstick.  I got this bright coral shade called Full Speed and it's perfect for the spring/summer.  I love it! It looks more pink in this photo but it's not in person.

I'm getting my workout on tonight at my friend's zumba class! Can't wait :) Enjoy the rest of the day!

Outfit Flashback

Happy Sunday dolls, I hope you all had a great weekend.  Mine was very low key so I wanted to dress up a little bit today.  As I was looking for an outfit, I went through some of my old posts and came across my outfit from "Tuesday Style" back in the beginning of January.  I got so much great feedback on this look and that was before I started shooting outside so I decided to bring it BACK today and take some good photos in it.  The only that I switched up this time was my hairstyle and rings.  I also decided to make a few collages with these photos to do something a little different :)

I'm wearing ripped jeans from Love Culture, a white v-neck boyfriend tee from Target, and this blazer is from Forever21.  My shoes are suede pumps from Nine West.

My accessories are this treble clef necklace that my sister gave to me.  She found it at a boutique.  I'm wearing a finger ring from H&M, and gold bands that I stacked.  I was also able to wear 2 of them as mid finger rings. I'm using my envelope clutch from NYC Expressions found at TJ Max.

It's not that sunny out today but I wear my shades regardless.  They're just the perfect accessory for any ensemble.  I hope that these photos did a much better job of showing off my outfit than the last time!  I think every now and then I may do a few outfit flashbacks.  I never usually wear the same thing twice, but there were some great outfits that I didn't have great photos of.  So for the sake of this blog, I will make some exceptions!

One last thing, I finally made a facebook page for this blog so PLEASE make sure to LIKE it and share with friends :) www.facebook.com/afashionloveaffair

Studded Saturday- DIY

I spent part of the afternoon doing a little DIY that I wanted to share with you all.  I've found that DIY projects can be really therapeutic and I love being super creative.  I ordered some studs from this website called studsandspikes.com and decided that I wanted to stud the collar of one of my button downs.  Unfortunately, the material on my button downs are really thin and not sturdy enough so I wasn't able to finish it.  Fail on my part!  However, I chose to stud a pair of my jean shorts that I got from Forever21 and I am really happy with the outcome :)  I might add a few more later on, but for now I'm going to keep them this way.

You can stud any pair of denim, button downs, belts, bags & pretty much anything else you want!  All you need to start is a package of studs or spikes, any color and any shape or size because it all depends on your personal preference.  I paid $3 for mine and it came with 100 silver studs.

Besides the studs, you need a butter knife to press down on the pointy ends.  The ends are really sharp so they will go right through any type of material.

I decided to stud the inside pocket part on the right side of my shorts.

And the lining of the pockets on the back side.

Here's the end result!

What do you guys think?  Studs are a great way to add some edge and that little extra something to your outfits.

Happy studding :)

Comfy Chic

Hello my loves, Happy Friday & Happy March! I'm sorry that I haven't posted in the past 2 days but I haven't forgotten about you guys!  I just want to start this off by saying that I am over 7k views!  I think that's great and once again thank you all so much for following me and checking out my posts each day. It means a lot to me. I haven't received any outfit submissions in awhile so please don't hesitate to send them to me at aloveaffairwithfashion@gmail.com  I'm looking forward to seeing them!

What I originally wanted to wear today was not appropriate for this weather unfortunately so I went with something more simple, casual and comfy  :)

I'm wearing a loose fitted fringe top from Mink Pink.  I love the material.  It's extremely soft and comfortable.  I got this from Suite201.  I paired it with my H&M dark denim skinnies and boots from Mandee.  To break up the color a little bit and to add some print I'm using my snakeskin handbag from ShoeDazzle.  I'm so happy I started using this bag again because it adds a nice touch my outfits.
As you can see I have my hair in a big bun today.  It's become my favorite hair style.  I'm just wearing a Forever21 finger ring, H&M white stone ring and my Aldo earrings.

I'm going to get some new nail polish for this spring and I'm looking forward to giving myself a manicure this weekend.  I've been wearing black and dark colored polishes for too long now.  It's definitely time to switch it up.  And one last thing... I think the highlight of my entire week was finally purchasing a steamer for myself.  I'm love with the fact that I will never iron again.  I absolutely hate ironing.  Just in case any of you have been looking for a steamer, I got this from Bed Bath & Beyond for $60.  It works really good!

I hope that you all have an amazing weekend and hopefully we will get a little bit of warm weather again.
