Neutral Shades

It's gorgeous outside! It's actually 80 degrees today and it feels like summer already. I was having major lighting issues while shooting today because of the sun, but I did my best and hope these pics do the outfit justice.

High low dresses like this one are super light weight and easy to wear on those warmer days.  When the sun is beaming, who really wants to wear tight clothes?  I decided to pair it with this white linen moto jacket from Furor Moda.  I am obsessed with it!  I love moto style jackets and this one is perfect for the spring & summer time.  White is so on trend right now too.  You can still layer pieces during the spring time, so jackets like this are a must have in my opinion.  Not everyone is a fan of white shoes, but I have been seeing them everywhere lately.  I got these sandals last year when I won a contest with Bakers.

I mentioned how I am trying to expand my sunglass collection, so I was more than happy to work with Sunglasses Shop.  They offer a great variety of designer sunglasses for both women and men including Ray-Ban (a personal favorite) and Oakley.  The ones that I am wearing are by a brand called SXUC. I typically gravitate towards a black aviator style so I wanted to try something new with these tortoise print ones. I love the shape & style of these and I think they were a great way to complete this look.

Spring Trends

Happy Monday loves!  The weather has been absolutely beautiful so of course I had to take advantage for the blog!

What do ankle strap sandals, irregular hemlines and neon all have in common? They're big trends for spring and summer and I am loving each one.  These are my first pair of neon shoes and they're from the Prabal Gurung for Target collection.  If you have these shoes you are probably obsessed but sad that the straps always come loose.  One of my IG followers gave me a helpful tip: Put the loop on top of the buckle and it will stay.  I tried this out and the straps never came undone!
This skirt may not be for everyone, but I really like it.  It's very unique and irregular hemlines are everywhere right now.  This one is shorter in the front and angles up a bit and then it's longer in the back.  Oasap really has great finds.  I paired it with my Prabal Gurung top because I love the print and colors and of course it went perfectly with my shoes!  This is a fun and sexy look for a night out this season.

Adventure With Me

I've mentioned before that I'm a free spirit in many ways.  I just want to travel and see the world so this "Adventure With Me" tee was a perfect fit.  It's one of those tops that can be styled in so many different ways this spring & summer.  It's Furor Moda's limited edition tee so make sure to get yours!  I decided to pair it with this orange skater skirt to give it more of a girly vibe but to edge it up a bit I put on this chunky chain necklace.  The sides are cut kind of low so I'm wearing a black bandeau underneath. I've been so anxious to wear these Prabal Gurung shoes again since Miami and I really love how they complete this look.  I took these pics right above the high way trying to go with the whole theme of getting away!

The first 3 months of 2013 have truly been amazing to me.  I woke up to such a beautiful day and made sure to count my blessings.  Sometimes you have to cleanse your soul.  Make positive changes and get rid of any negativity around you.  Stay focused on what's important.  Anything is possible in life when you truly believe in yourself.  Have an amazing weekend and I hope you have some fun adventures!

A Night Out With Charlotte Russe

This is part 2 of my Spring Collab with Charlotte Russe! The first part was a day time look so now I am taking you into the night with another one of their fabulous dresses.

We all know my obsession with anything peplum and this is in one of my favorite colors so of course I had to pick this!  (It matches my blog colors!) The cut outs add just the right amount of sex appeal and the fit is amazing.  This is such a great dress to wear for a night out with your girlfriends, on a date, to a party or event.  Peplum dresses are so flattering for almost any body type because they show off your curves in all the right places and if you don't have curves, they will give the illusion that you do.  It was a little cold yesterday so I added this lovely coat that turned out to be a perfect match for this ensemble.

Ankle cuff heels are right on trend and these are super sexy! You've probably seen many celebs wearing a similar style shoe and you can get these for less than $40.  I love the peep toe and 5 inch metallic heel.  Believe it or not, these babies are really easy to walk in.  The color is great as well since they will go with just about anything this Spring/Summer.  One of the things I love about Charlotte Russe is their amazing shoe deals.  Buy one pair and get the second for $12.50!

Makeup is a huge part of night time looks, specifically because many girls don't typically wear that much makeup unless they are going out somewhere.  I don't really post much about the products that I use, but I have been getting a lot of questions about my makeup on instagram and youtube.  Since this post is focused on a night time outfit, I wanted to share my products. 

With this look, I mixed a couple of different colors from the Naked Urban Decay Palette 1:

Virgin, Sin, Toasted, Hustle, Darkhorse, Half Baked

 I have on Peachy Dream blush from Smashbox and my favorite light pink lipstick, MAC Creme Cup mixed with MAC Hot Gossip.  I'm also wearing lashes.  I recently filmed a Smashbox haul and talked about some of the other products I use, so please check it out below! :)

Spring Days With Charlotte Russe

I am so excited to announce my Spring Collaboration with Charlotte Russe! I have been a customer of theirs for years so it's amazing to have the opportunity to work with them on this. I will be showing 2 different looks, one for day and one for night, from their new arrivals this season :)

What's better than a pretty floral print dress for a lovely spring day?  I chose this one in particular from their Candy Girl collection because I love the mix of colors. It's super cute and flirty and perfect for an afternoon with friends especially if you're going to lunch or have a party to attend like a baby shower.  Dresses like this are so light and easy to wear on those warmer days making it a very effortless piece.  The length is also great for day time as well.

If you're trying to get dressed up during the day but still want to keep somewhat of a casual vibe, wedges are the way to go! They're super comfortable and right on trend.  How amazing are these?! I am completely obsessed.  One of the best parts about wedges is that even when they're really high, it doesn't feel like it, making it much easier to walk. My favorite part about these is the color and cut out wooden platform.  They're a must have! These are only available online, so if you want them you should act fast! :)

Easter Sunday

Happy 1st day of April!  I hope that you all had a lovely Easter and weekend.  I wore this to Church and brunch and I wanted to make sure it was very classy but still fun for the holiday.

I've been loving blue lately and never used to wear much of it before.  I thought this floral shift dress was perfect for the occasion.  I love the color and print and it fits me like a glove. These shoes are obviously a perfect match as well.  I have to say that Forever21 has definitely stepped up their shoe game over the past few years.  I always find great pairs there.  My favorite part of this outfit is this gorgeous necklace.  It also comes with matching earrings. I have seriously been looking everywhere for something similar to this but I was not having any luck.  It's such a great statement necklace with so much versatility because it would look just as good with a graphic tee to dress it up.  I will be doing a giveaway later this month with Erika from Lola Blue so stay tuned! She has amazing pieces on her site.
