Happy Wednesday my loves! I woke up to over 10k views this morning and found out that my blog has been seen in 16 different countries including Japan, Poland, Indonesia and Spain, just to name a few! I didn't know if anyone would even care to check out my posts each day when I first started this and to see how far I have come with it in only 3 months makes me feel great. This is just the beginning too! So as a thank you for all the love and support, especially to those who have been following me since day 1, I decided to do a contest for hitting the 10k mark. The winner will get some goodies! I don't want to say yet what they will be, but it's possible that it can be some beauty & nail products or accessories..... the winner will be happy!
Here's how the contest will work... and I am hoping that a lot of you enter! As you probably already know, I'm all about inspiring others. And one of the biggest compliments I can receive is to know that I have helped inspire someone. I want you to email me a photo of you in an outfit that you were inspired to wear by either my blog, a celebrity, a friend, current trend.. anything! I love outfits that have a story and I want to hear about it!
So email me your photos to ALOVEAFFAIRWITHFASHION@GMAIL.COM and just write a couple of sentences of what or who inspired your outfit and how you put it together. Also include your name and any of your social media links if you want people to find you (twitter, instagram, facebook) I will be posting up all of the entries along with the winner on my blog!! The contest starts today and ends on Tuesday the 27th. The winner will be announced next Thursday the 29th! I might even have my instagram followers help me pick the winner! I'll make sure to email the person so they can send me their address so I can send out their prize.
Send me those photos!!! Lots of Love <3

Denim On Denim
Ahhh, goodbye winter :) Feels good to say that! Today I am dressed very relaxed and comfy. I'm so used to wearing heels that sometimes I forget I need to just throw on some flats. I went to Target yesterday and got these colorful cuties for $14.99. I love them but I have to admit they hurt my heels :( Nothing a few bandaids can't cure though. I'm sure a lot of you have seen these at the store so just a little tip in case you decide to buy: GO UP A SIZE! They run really small.
For the longest time I hated denim on denim. I honestly didn't even know how to wear it together. BUT, times have changed just like the trends do and I went for it today.

I'm wearing dark blue skinnies from H&M, a micro tank from Target (I swear by them), and a denim colored button down that is also from H&M. I kind of played around with this look a little bit by tying the ends of my shirt to my waist and just leaving it unbuttoned and loose. Originally I was going to wear the tank by itself but my outfit needed something extra.
I didn't feel like using a purse or clutch today so I just went with my Michael Kors wallet that I got this Christmas! I absolutely love it. It's simple and goes with everything and it's perfect to carry with me wherever I go. I'm wearing this triangle tribal necklace from Gypsy Warrior. It's such a great statement piece. My chain ring is also from there too.
I'm wearing my Forever21 gold trim aviators too. I've found that putting my hair in a big bun like this makes all of my outfits look chic, whether dressed up or down.
So how do you feel about mixing different colored denim together? Would you try it?
Enjoy this FIRST day of spring loves!!!

Hello Spring!
Tomorrow is the first day of spring! How excited are you? I've already been dressing for the season as you can clearly see on my recent posts. It's supposed to be in the 80s on Thursday! Sunny days give me life :)
I didn't have a whole lot of time to shoot today, but I did get a couple of good shots outside. I'm wearing pieces that I got last year at H&M. I wore these pants once with a different top and a belt so I just changed it up a little for today.

These are printed harem style pants. Extremely light weight and comfortable. They're those types of pants that again, are not for everyone, but I always gravitate towards pieces that won't be seen on everybody. It's hard to explain the design but there's a mix of pink, white & a greenish color. I have on a basic pale pink tank that matches perfectly with the pink on my pants. I have on nude Zara shoes that I haven't worn in awhile.
My accessories are kind of a rustic color. This statement necklace is from Forever21, earrings from Mandee, Nordstrom heart bracelet and rings from Gypsy Warrior and H&M. I wanted to throw in another color with this outfit so I used this clutch from Charlotte Russe that I got awhile back. The little studs on it actually match my jewelry. I went with a different hairstyle today and did the "Kourtney Kardashain" poof ponytail as I like to call it.
Hopefully you all get to enjoy this gorgeous day.

HIGH LOW LOVE
What a crazy weekend!! Last night I went to this amazing place in the city called Beauty & Essex. Their food is so good and they have really great drinks. Such a fun time. Later in the night I ended up at Hotel Chantell. I needed a night like that :)
I was able to take some shots right at sunset last night and when the train by my house was passing by. It gave the photos a nice effect!

I was searching high and low (no pun intended) for a high low skirt. I found this one at Forever21 and fell in love with it. It was only $17. I decided to pair it with this floral tunic from H&M. It's similar to the coral one I wore last weekend but this one is sheer. As you can see I have been wearing a lot of florals! It's such a big trend for spring.
I used my black & gold H&M belt to bring everything together. I have on my mary jane platforms. I'm so sad that they got a little dirty last night. I am hoping they can get cleaned up because there's no more of these at the store. I used my coral clutch from Mandee but this time took out the gold chain so I could wear it over my shoulder.
My accessories are all gold as you can see. Love this cuff chain bracelet that I got! And finally, my coral lips! Full Speed from MAC. How do you feel about the high low skirts? They're so much fun to wear it's like you're getting 2 different looks from the front and back.
Hope you liked!

100 Posts- Flashback
Wow I have already hit the 100 post mark! I thought it would be a cool idea to show the outfit that started it all plus a few of my favorites. Before I do that I wanted to say that I am getting close to 10k views!! When I started this blog I honestly didn't know what the feedback would be or how well I would do with this. I was actually a little nervous. But I couldn't be happier about the outcome and all of the love and support that each of you show me on a daily basis. I started out taking pics of myself in the mirror and now I have much better photos, thanks to my mom, and it makes my blog that much more better! As a thank you to my viewers and followers, I am doing a contest when I reach 10k views. The winner will get a couple of little goodies from me :) I will post details about the contest on here when I reach 10,000.
Now for the outfits :)
Now for the outfits :)
This was my very first outfit post "Something Chic" I wore this to a baby shower. I have on a high waisted pencil skirt and blouse with lace embellishments from Forever21. The feedback I got from this made me realize that it was finally time to start up my own fashion/style blog.
Here's a few of my favorites from my first month of posting.
"A Splash Of Red"
Grey skinnies and button down from H&M. Forever21 red pumps.
"Something Simple, Something Fun"
Urban Outfitters Dress & leather belt and Nine West pumps.
"Ruby Woo & Navy Blue"
H&M skinnies and button down, Metro Park handbag & Mandee Pumps
"POST Christmas"
Zara dress, Nine West pumps & thrifted necklace.
"Hello 2012"
Zara dress and ShoeDazzle pumps.
As you can see a lot has already changed since I started this blog. I feel like my own style has developed more even in such a short amount of time. I really hope that I have been able to help some of you with your own style too :)
Thanks for following!!

Spring Flowers
Happy hump day! We were blessed with another beautiful day and I couldn't be happier about it. One of the things that I love the most about having my own fashion/style blog is always having a reason to play dress up. I feel like I have all of these outfits waiting to be worn and sometimes I don't have anywhere special to wear them. Today has been somewhat of a quiet day for me so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to experiment a little bit. I didn't get to wear this for too long but I will most definitely be wearing it again or switching it up with a different shirt. Let me know what you think of it! :)
I'm wearing bright colored floral pants from H&M. The first time I saw them I loved them but was actually hesitant to make the purchase. They were only $14.95 so I figured if I didn't wear them I could always return. I ended up getting these yesterday and got really excited to put something together so I had to wear them today, even if it was only for my blog! I didn't really know what kind of top I wanted to wear, so I ended up putting on this black crop top, also from H&M. It's the same top I wore yesterday just in a different color. I actually like how the pants are so tight and fitted but the top is loose and kind of flows around in the wind.
These pants make a bold statement and I know that they aren't for everybody. They can really be worn in so many different ways too. Originally I was going to put on a black pump since theres already so many colors on the pants, but I decided to go with my coral pumps from Target. I like it better this way.
My accessories are this new cuff chain bracelet from H&M, along with a couple of different rings. I have on small rose studs with my choker chain necklace. I'm using my coral clutch from Mandee, Ray-Bans, and Full Speed lipstick from MAC. This was another one of those days that I just wanted to throw my hair up into a big bun.
I believe that part of being a fashionista and finding your own personal style is all about taking some risks and stepping out of your comfort zone. You need to switch it up and try new things to see what fits you best. Who wants to look the same every day anyway? There's no fun in that and fashion is definitely fun to play around with!
I can't wait to have somewhere special to wear this :) Hope you liked!!
Have a great day XO.
