The Perfect Little Cover Up: Day To Night

So in my last post I was wearing a sweater and today I have on a bathing suit and cover up!  The weather has been so up and down.  But I'm happy it's in the 80s today!  Summer is coming to an end and I figured it was the perfect time for this post.
SwimSpot offers a great selection of swimwear, coverups & dresses.
When they reached out to me I was really excited to style one of their pieces.  I went with a coverup because you can easily transition them from day to night during the summer or on vacation any time of the year.  A lot of girls want to look stylish at the beach, pool or resort, whether it's during the day for some sun or at night for cocktails.

Bathing Suit: Victoria Secret
Cover Up: C/O SwimSpot
Shoes: Mandee
Hat: Forever21
Sunnies: H&M

This Athena West Indies Tunic has a beautiful splash of colors and is made of flowy chiffon fabric.  It comes with an empire drawstring waist that you can tighten to enhance your shape.  I really love it and think that's is super cute! I picked this one in particular because I knew that it would match perfectly with my Victoria Secret bathing suit.

During the day you can wear this with flat sandals or go barefoot while you're taking a walk along the beach.  You can accessorize with a big floppy hat like I did with this one from Forever21.  Hats are great to keep the sun away from your face and look stylish while doing it! Add on your favorite pair of sunnies and you have a complete day time look.

The transition into night time is simple, just add heels like these or a cute wedge to dress it up a little more and throw on some of your favorite pieces of jewelry.  Lose the hat, fix up your hair and now your coverup has turned into a cute little night time dress, perfect to grab some drinks with your friends at the beach or hotel bar!

A Little Bit Of Summer & Fall

Hey babes!  I put this together tonight and took a couple of shots outside.  I was getting eaten alive by mosquitos so I had to make it quick! I was originally going to post this in the morning but I had time to do it now :)
I know it's still summer time but the past few days & nights have really cooled down over here so I was more than happy to put on a sweater!  I'm so anxious for the fall.  Fall fashion is my absolute favorite.

Sweater: H&M
Skirt: Love Culture
Wedges: Bakers
Watch: Michael Kors

I've always wanted to pair a fun little skirt with a sweater.  I've always thought it would make a really cute combo.  I like the layered look so I finally put it together.  I got this sweater last year.  As you can see it's pretty see through but I just have on a black bra underneath.  This skirt is old as well, about 2 years already and I only wore it once before.

I love the print and colors.  It's so cute and summery.  This is a great outfit to transition from summer into fall because it has a little bit of both seasons mixed together. I have on my MK watch, a big heart ring and black earrings.  Kept it super simple.  I've got on MAC Full Speed lipstick to throw in another splash of color.  I was in such a rush to take photos that I actually forgot a bag!

Make sure to check out the Shop My Closet tab on my blog.  I started posting items that I will be selling directly from my closet.  There's only 3 right now, but I will add more soon!

Wanna Polka?

Happy Saturday my beautiful readers!  I went to a bridal shower earlier today and was able to take these photos outside.  The place has a lovely little waterfall and walkway, perfect for a photo shoot. I was so undecided about what I wanted to wear today.  My goal was to get something pretty, chic, & classy! I'm so happy I found this dress.

Dress: Forever21
Shoes: Mandee
Bag: H&M
Sunnies: Target
Cross Cuff: Nasty Gal
Infinity Ring: C/O Lovely Obsessions

After trying on a couple of different dresses and outfits, I found this polka dot dress last minute at Forever21.  As soon as I saw it & tried it on, I envisioned my ensemble.  It's cute and flowy with pleats at the bottom.  Fun to twirl! I adore polka dots and I love that this dress is navy blue and tan.  Great color combo!

My Mary Jane platforms are the perfect shoe for dresses like this.  They're one of my favorite pairs of shoes!  I can never part with these and I will probably wear them until a heel breaks off.  I decided to use my small shoulder bag because I wanted to add a pop of white.

I'm wearing a cross cuff that I recently got from Nasty Gal.  I love that you can wear it mid arm and not just around the wrist.  I'm wearing a tiny infinity upper finger ring that I have on my pinky.  I got this from Lovely Obsessions when they sent my skull top.  Don't forget to enter code ALAWF10 to receive 10% off your orders! My other accessories are this big white Aldo ring, H&M ring & cuff and my Forever21 necklace & earrings.

Final touches were my sock bun and MAC Creme Cup lipstick.  Also, I have on Sinful Colors Rise & Shine nail polish. I think I proved this week that my style truly is versatile :)
I hope you all have a LOVEly day.

Skulls & Booties

Today was super hectic but I still found time for this outfit post.  I have really been trying to switch it up lately and do some unexpected things with my outfits so I really hope you like this look!  I'm so anxious for the fall and luckily there was a nice cool breeze tonight so this outfit was perfect.
There's a discount code for this top & other pieces at the bottom of this post!

Skull Top: C/O Lovely Obsessions
Skirt: H&M (old)
Booties: Steve Madden
Hat: Nasty Gal
Bag & Sunnies: H&M

Lovely Obsessions reached out to me and wanted to send me this skull button down.  I can't remember the last time I wore skulls so I was really excited to see what I could do with it.  I love style challenges.  I've never been into skulls as much as other people, but I do like them especially because they remind me of Alexander McQueen.   I love the gold tips on the collar as well as the light gold buttons.  It's also high low style and can be worn tucked in or left out.

As soon as I received this top I knew that I wanted to wear it with a hat.  The only one I had was my small H&M one that I have on in my latest post.  After seeing one of my favorite fellow bloggers Melanee rock her Nasty Gal hats so perfectly, I was inspired to get the same one! Hats are such a great statement piece and I love the effect it has on this outfit. Hope I made you proud Mel :)

I'm wearing a skirt that's been sitting in my closet for over a year with faux leather accents on the sides.  It was time to wear it!  I paired it with my Steve Madden tassel booties... I love booties and can't wait to start wearing them all the time again!  The final touches were my fringe bag and sunnies to complete the look. I went with a nude lip, MAC Creme Cup and very light on the accessories today.

Make sure you ladies check out the goodies on Lovely Obsessions and enter the code ALAWF10 to receive 10% off your purchases!

YEHAW!
(haha I had to)
