Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving loves!!
I am so thankful today and always for all of the many blessings that I have in my life, especially my amazing family and guardian angel (dad) watching over and protecting me.  This year I really went after my dreams and I am very appreciative for all of the opportunities that have come my way.  I am thankful for all my wonderful blog readers who give me the chance to share my creativity and love for fashion every day.  I hope that each and every one of you has enjoyed this day with your family and loved ones.  I definitely did.  Always appreciate the things that you have!

My sister, mom, and our 2 pups.  I would be lost without them. Only one missing is my dad. <3
This is obviously not an outfit post but I still wanted to get something up on my blog today :)

Since tomorrow is Black Friday and one of the biggest shopping days of the year, I wanted to quickly share some great sales that ShopExcessBaggage is having! It's their biggest sale of the year plus they are having a $500 shopping spree for one lucky winner who makes a purchase between tomorrow-Monday.

HAPPY SHOPPING!
I love holiday sales!

I might attempt to get my Canon tomorrow... my birthday gift from my mom and sis!
 Blessed, Appreciative, and THANKFUL!

The Statement Coat

One of the best ways to stay warm and stylish during this season is by wearing a statement coat.  There are so many different styles for all occasions.  This one is perfect for those days when you want to dress up a little bit, especially now that the holidays are on the way.  It's classy, chic, and will definitely make you stand out.

Details

Overcoat: C/O OASAPScarf: H&M/ Bag: Aldo/ Shoes: Mandee/ Rings: H&M and Etsy

I picked this coat in particular from OASAP because I love the pleat details and cream color.  It actually looks like a little coat dress which I think is adorable.  The fit and length are perfect.
I wanted this post to focus only on the coat so I didn't take photos of what I have on underneath.
(It's a simple black dress by the way)
I put on this scarf to add a little pop of color and print.  Scarves really are the perfect accessory for Fall & Winter.

I'm using my new Aldo clutch as a shoulder bag.  I love when bags can be used either way. I went with black tights, black pumps and gold accessories.  Everything is very simple.  The coat stands out on it's own and everything else compliments it.  Remember that you can wear the simplest pieces but still make a statement!

It's such a busy week with Thanksgiving on Thursday but I will do my best to post again.  Enjoy the holiday my loves!

Cosy Corporation Handbag Launch Party

This Saturday I attended an event for Cosy Corporation, a direct sales jewelry company founded in 2008.  The purpose of the event was to launch Cosy's first handbag collection and to benefit Gilda's Club, a non profit organization that helps families affected by cancer.  Lissette Garcia, the president and founder of Cosy is a Hodgkin's Lymphoma survivor.  This was a very special night to celebrate life and fashion!  I am so happy that I was able to be apart of this, especially since it was for a cause that I hold close to my heart.

The event was held at Bar Celona in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and there were so many wonderful sponsors including Godiva, Goya, Joe Fresh, Palermo's Bakery, and Pink Jewels to name a few.  Guests were able to enjoy appetizers and drinks, shop the jewelry and handbag collection from Cosy, and participate in a raffle to win one of the amazing gift baskets courtesy of the many sponsors.  Here you can see all of the photos from the event and I will start off with my outfit of course :)

Black & Blue

Hey babes, Happy Thursday!  For today's post, I wanted to show one of this season's biggest trends, black and blue. For such a long time this color combo was said to be a big NO, just like black and brown.  But times have changed in the fashion world thankfully and things that were once frowned upon are now looked at as must haves.  Who wants to follow rules anyway?

 Button Up: C/O ZooShoo
Skirt: Forever21
Belt, Tights & Coat: H&M
Booties: Steve Madden

ZooShoo is an internet retailer with the latest in both fashion and footwear. They even have some designer products from Betsey Johnson, Chinese Laundry, and Sam Edelman to name a few.   There was so many amazing items to choose from, but I really gravitated towards this button up because of the studded detail collar and keyhole cutout.  The fit is great and it's also asymmetrical so you can tuck it in like me or let it hang down in the back.  This is probably the first royal blue shirt I own.  The color is so rich and perfect for fall!

The temperatures over here are starting to drop but that doesn't mean you have to put those skirts away!    I live for tights in the colder seasons.  As I mentioned in a previous post, I get the best tights from H&M.  The fit is always amazing.  I'm slightly obsessed with this faux leather skirt and the way these booties look with it!  It's just the right amount of edge and chic.

I love wearing belts especially with skirts because it's the perfect way to bring the entire outfit together.  I've always liked the gold hardware on this one.  I went with simple accessories and a light pink lip.  AND I actually wore my straight.  I rarely do!

How do you feel about the black and blue trend?  Do you love it as much as I do?
Make sure to check out all the other great pieces at ZooShoo I really think you will find something that you like :)

XOXO

Mandee's Holiday LookBook

When Mandee reached out to me, I was really excited to work with them! They sent me a sneak peak of their Holiday LookBook "Rescue Holiday" so that I could check it out before everyone else.  I picked my favorite pieces and they sent them to me to style and wear on my blog.  Pretty cool right?!   Everything is really versatile and can dressed up or down.  The past two days we had gorgeous weather so I took full advantage to take all of these photos outside.  I did my best to give a good variety of styles.  Hope it gives you a little bit of inspiration!

Outfit 1: Tweed Jacket

Tweed Jacket: C/O Mandee ($39.99)
Skirt & Bag: H&M
Shoes: Bakers

I absolutely fell in love with this cropped tweed jacket!  Tweed is right on trend this season and it makes a great statement piece for any outfit.  This jacket would look just as nice with a pair of jeans if worn more casually.  I went with a classic black and white theme and added a red lip for a little pop of color.  This reminds me of the tweed jackets from Chanel!  Tweed and peplum... does it get any better than that?!

Outfit 2: Studded Collar Moto Jacket

Faux Leather Moto Jacket: C/O Mandee ($34.99)
Shirt: H&M
Jeans: Forever21
Shoes: Mandee
Sunnies: Target

Leather jackets are all the rage this season!  They are the perfect piece to add a little edge to any ensemble.  I wanted to do something more casual and laid back with this outfit so I went with a dark pair of skinnies, simple tee, and heels.  I really love the studded detail because it makes the jacket stand out more and easier to transition into a dressier look.

Outfit 3: Floral Denim

Floral Denim: C/O Mandee ($29.99)
Blazer: Forever21
Tank: Target
Shoes: Mandee

Who says you can't wear white, bright colors and florals during the Fall?!  I am all for it.  I love the shades of purple & burgundy in this print.  I have to admit that styling these pants was a little bit of a challenge for me.  I had tried 2 others ways and they just weren't translating the right way on camera. (fashion blogger problems lol)  But like they say, 3rd time's a charm and I am really happy with this because it's such a fun and colorful look. Floral prints and winter whites are a big trend right now.

Outfit 4: Faux Leather Hooded Jacket

Faux Leather Hooded Jacket: C/O Mandee ($49.99)
Shirt & Scarf: H&M
Jeans: Forever2
Shoes: Zara

The only thing better than a leather moto jacket is a leather HOODIE, especially when it comes in other colors!  This oxblood shade is perfect for the holiday season and a fall/winter MUST HAVE color. I wanted to do another casual outfit so I paired this with my slightly ripped boyfriend jeans, low heels and a printed scarf that just so happened to match perfectly.

5. Collar Necklace

Collar Necklace: C/O Mandee ($14)
Shirt: Zara

I decided not to do a full outfit post for this so that the focus would just be on the necklace.
Isn't it amazing?! It is such a great statement piece and will make any outfit stand out.  I love the details on it.  It's a mix of chain and stones.  These style necklaces are a big hit right now and absolutely perfect for the holiday season!

This was a really fun challenge for me and I enjoyed styling everything for this post! Thank you so much Jenny, it's been great working with you on this!
Although Mandee does not have online shopping, you can still check out the rest of the items in their Holiday LookBook.  Which are your favorite pieces?!
