November Beauty Products

I want to start doing this once per month.  I think it's fun to share some of the different beauty products that I am currently trying out.  I am always looking for new ones and love seeing what gives the best results.  I am hoping to film a video of this as well so I can elaborate a little more and give you a better feel for each product, but for now I wanted to make it a blog post.
Let me know if you would like me to do this each month!

Urban Decay b6 Prep Spray (here)

I've never used a prep spray before so I am not really sure what I can compare it to, but I've been using this product for several months now and have no complaints.  It's a vitamin-infused complexion prep spray that minimizes pores, reduces redness and absorbs oil.  You are supposed to spray your face before applying moisturizer and then you can also use it during the day to refresh your skin.  It's great for giving your skin a quick dose of vitamins and keeping it hydrated.  It's definitely become part of my morning routine.

Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer (here)

I've tried out a ton of different moisturizers from Clinque, Olay, Aveeno, Ponds, and more but this has been my first time trying out one from Origins. My favorite part about this one in particular is that it's energy boosting and truly helps wake me up each morning.  It contains skin-boosters like Panax Ginseng and Coffee Bean. I apply this to my face and neck and after using the prep spray every morning and then I apply it again at night before bed.  It is so important to take care of our skin and lately I'm becoming obsessed with trying out a ton of different skincare products.  This also smells really good, leaves my skin feeling very smooth and adds a natural glow.

Make Up For Ever: UpLight Face Luminizer Gel (here)

I bought this a few weeks ago, and so far it's been great.  It's a silky gel that naturally brightens up your face.  You are only supposed to use a little bit and tap it under your eyes.  You can also put a little bit on the inside corners of your eye and the corners of your eye lids on top of your eyeshadow.  It really helps to brighten up that whole area and prevents you from looking tired.  Just be careful not to pump too hard, otherwise way too much will come out.  I made that mistake as soon as I opened it up! The bottle is small, but they said it lasts awhile, so I will soon find out.

EOS Lip Balm (here)

I'm completely obsessed and use this every single day.  I'm actually surprised I didn't start using these sooner.  I have the pink and red ones.  It's obviously so important to keep our lips moisturized, especially during the cold months.  But I also use this to prevent feathering from my lipstick.  I hate wearing a lipstick color that starts to peel after wearing it for a few hours.  Prepping my lips with lip balm before applying the lipstick has helped make a huge difference!

I think when it comes to beauty products, things might work differently for everyone.  But if you are looking to try something new, I highly suggest all of these.  If any of you have any recommendations for products that I could try out, please share!

On another note, I'll be co-hosting the "Flirty & Feminine" party tonight in the Poshmark app at 7pm PST with fellow blogger Paulina.  You can shop the closets of thousands of girls and share all of your listings to the party as well.  The app is now available on both iPhone and Android and if you sign up with the code HNFBD,  you will receive a $5 credit.

Have a great day!
XOXO

Black Is Such A Happy Color

Happy Monday!  I hope that all of you had a great weekend!

Pants: Zara (similar)/ Shirt: c/o Dynamite/ Shoes: Breckelles (Amazon)
Jacket: H&M (old) / Necklace: Blue Nile

I finally went to Zara after a few months and I fell in love with these pants.   As I mentioned last week, houndstooth is definitely a huge print trend right now. I didn't want to do the typical solid black or white shirt, so I decided to try something a little different.  People mix prints all the time and it's something that I haven't really done.  So this is kind of my own little take on it: graphic top with printed pants.   Black is one of my favorite colors to wear and I totally agree that it's a happy color!  People typically associate the brighter and bolder colors with happiness, but black is super classic and I would probably wear it every day if I could. I wanted to keep the whole black and white theme going on, so I only added color with my lips.  I actually mixed two different shades of red together.
It's surprisingly a gorgeous day out (in the 60s) which is why I'm not all bundled up.  Yay for pretty days!

This week is going to be a little hectic with some personal things that I have going on but I'm definitely going to try and post as much as I can.  Please keep my family in your prayers this week.  Thanks loves!

Vintage Florals

Happy Friday beauties :)

Jacket: (here) C/O Dynamite/ Top: Target/ Pants: (similar) Choies - sold out :(
Shoes: (similar) Forever21/ Rings: Tanya Kara & Gorjana Griffin
Sunglasses: (here) Ray-Ban

I like pairing things together that aren't the obvious match which is why I've really come to love the floral & leather combo.  Florals are still a big print trend for fall & winter and I thought the color combo was really pretty for this season.  The yellow and orange makes me think of Thanksgiving, which is right around the corner! When I first got these pants I really had no idea what I wanted to do with them.    Since they already have a lot going on, I thought it would be best to pair it with neutral colors so that they could really be the focal point of this look.  I love my blazers and I love leather jackets, so I ended up getting the best of both worlds with this faux leather blazer.  It's surprisingly really warm too!

Now on to an exciting announcement:
During Lucky FABB, I did a video casting for P&G's Voices Of Beauty. I honestly did this on a whim.  I was really nervous, but did not want to pass up the opportunity.  I ended up being picked as 1 of the 8 finalists in the contest!  There is a voting period from now until 12/6 and then the 4 winners will be announced on 1/6.  Please take a second and vote for me HERE. The final decision will not only be based on votes, but it would definitely help out.  Thank you so much for your amazing support, love you guys!!

Have a lovely weekend <3

Emerald Houndstooth

Happy hump day!  I hope that all of you are having a great week so far.  Today's post combines two different trends that I am loving at the moment :)

Dress: Torn By Ronny Kobo (gifted)/ Boots: (old) ShoeDazzle
Bag: Phillip Lim For Target/ Necklace: Prima Donna (gifted)
Earrings: Prima Donna/ Sunglasses: Charlotte Russe

I ended up winning a contest with Covet Fashion at Lucky FABB so this dress was my prize. It's really cute but more importantly, so warm and cozy!  I am all about long sleeve sweater dresses for this season. Houndstooth has definitely made a comeback and I love that this is not the typical white/black combo we often see.  Fit and flare dresses are super girly and fun to wear.  I love that this dress is appropriate for many different places like work, dinner, meetings and drinks! It literally felt like winter yesterday and it even snowed early in the morning.  Guess I can officially say goodbye to that little bit of warmth I mentioned yesterday.  Instead of doing pumps (I would have froze) I went with these old faithful boots that I've had for about 3 years now.  I am actually surprised they are still in great condition. I don't think I will ever part with them. Emerald is one of the biggest color trends right now so I fell in love with this gorgeous necklace that ended up being a great addition to this look.  It was one of the items that we got in our LF gift bags :)  And the last element to this look was my mini satchel.  Since I'm wearing high boots, I felt like a larger bag overpowered the outfit a little bit.

Stay warm lovies!!

Florals In A Field Of Leaves

One of the many things that I love about Autumn is the beautiful scenery that the fallen leaves create. Even though this isn't exactly a field, it kind of reminds me of one.  It is definitely starting to get colder over here which means I'll be shooting in lots of layers and jackets soon, so I am trying to take advantage of the little bit of warmth we are still experiencing (and by little, I mean little) :(

Blouse: (here) Choies/ Skirt: (similar and similar) Choies
Shoes: (here) Forever2/ Lipstick: Catfight Urban Decay

Leather again?!  I just can't help it.  (Insert monkey covering eyes emoji)
This is really just the beginning of my obsession this season so please bear with me!  I recently got some more leather pieces that I will be wearing soon.  I loved the asymmetrical cut of this skirt.  It definitely adds some sex appeal to this look.  When wearing something that is a little sexy, I always like to balance it out with another piece that is more sophisticated.  It's a surefire way to keep it classy.
Florals will always be a love of mine no matter the time of year.  This color combo is perfect for fall and I especially love the leather collar and gold button details.  To kind of match with the buttons, I decided to wear my studded ankle strap pumps. I also tried out a new lipstick shade that matched with the floral print. This outfit ended up being a mix between chic & edgy, my fave!

On another note, I finally cut my hair! I was way overdue.  I redid layers so my hair actually has some life again but now my ombre' is all gone :( I guess it's best to keep it this way for awhile.
Check out my newest post on Fearless Fashionista where I talk about my top 5 color trends this season!

Have an amazing day loves!

Isabel Marant Pour H&M

Happy Monday my loves!  I hope that you all had an amazing weekend.  I had such a great time celebrating my birthday and I am still recovering from it haha!

So today I wanted to talk about the Isabel Marant collection with H&M.  Are you any of you excited for it? It's going to be available this Thursday November 14th in 250 stores worldwide AND online.  Since H&M just recently launched online shopping this is going to be their first designer collaboration available on the site.  It will feature clothing and accessories for women and teens and it's Isabel Marant's first-ever collection for men.  I am so curious to see how many men will be lined up outside of H&M this Thursday!

Isabel Marant is known for her successful take on Parisian Chic style, which I love.  She mixes "urban attitude, boho elegance and a rock-n- roll spirit to deliver genuine French allure."  Her collection with H&M will feature must-have pieces inspired by her signature style.  For the women, most prices seem to be around the $100-$150 mark with some pieces more or less depending on the item.
I have honestly only shopped two designer collabs before.  I do think it's a great way for the "everyday" person to get pieces from their favorite designers at a much more affordable price.  This, of course, is the reason why most designer collabs sell out immediately.  Also because once these items sell out, they will not be coming back.  So that "limited edition" factor definitely amps up the hype.
I do have my eye on a couple of pieces from this Marant x H&M collection.  Here are some of my favorites!

Are any of your favorites the same as mine?
You can check out what Isabel Marant has to say about her collection here:

You can also check out more of the collection on H&M. They have more photos and prices listed for the items.  Good luck getting your favorite picks if you decide to shop the collection!
Have a great day loves.
