Feels Like Fall

It's finally starting to feel like fall!  It's crazy how it was just 80 over the weekend and now the temperatures have already started to drop significantly.  This is the reason why I always get sick this time of year.  I had a really cool event that I went to yesterday and this is what I wore.  It was a presentation for Bond No 9 in celebration of their 10 year anniversary.  It was an afternoon of tea, macarons and smelling pretty perfume.

Top: Forever21/ Skirt (here): C/O H&M/ Jacket (here): C/O Charlotte Russe
Booties (here): Target/ Bag: Phillip Lim For Target/ Hat (similar): H&M
Belt: Forever21/ Bracelet: Tanya Kara

I got this skirt during the H&M campaign that I was apart of a few months ago and really wanted to wear it again in a different way.  I kept the whole red, black and gold theme going on but made it more appropriate for this season.  I found these booties at Target 2 days ago and was so anxious to wear them.  They were only $30 and they're so cute and comfortable.  Just a heads up that I will be wearing these a lot!  I swear it's impossible for me to go to Target and only leave with what I intended to get. I took photos with and without this jacket to show the two different looks.  My favorite part about the jacket is the gold hardware.  My other faux leather jackets have silver zippers and since I usually wear gold, this was perfect.  I've been on the hunt for a great hat for fall and finally came across this one at H&M the other day.  Hats make the perfect accessory this season.  My other one is too big to wear all the time so the brim on this one is the exact size I was looking for.

Here are a few photos from the display at the Bond No 9 event.  The thing that I love most about the brand is that all of the perfumes are named after a different part/aspect of New York.  For example, some of the names are Fashion Ave, ChinaTown, Wall Street, and So New York.  They have marked every NY neighborhood with a scent of its own.  As part of their 10 year anniversary, they designed a perfume for their fantasy street which partakes in the best of all of New York called Perfumista Avenue.  It's designed for a woman who is stunning, bold, sexy, fearless and daring. We also got to preview their holiday collection which was amazing!

Thanks so much to Alison Brod and the founder of Bond No 9, Laurice Rahme, for letting me be apart of this!

I hope you enjoyed today's post and have a great day loves!

PINK

Happy Monday loves!  The weather on Saturday was beautiful and totally felt like summer so I took complete advantage and wore this colorful skirt once again.  It finally started feeling like fall yesterday!

Top: TJ Maxx(also love)/ Skirt & Shoes (also love): Forever21
Bag: olivia + joy (here)/ Bracelet: Mikay Love
Midi Cross & Anchor Ring: Tanya Kara/ Necklace: Gorjana Griffin

I wore this skirt only once and I have been wanting to wear it again in a different way.  When the sun is shining and it's warm outside, I can't help but wear bright colors.  I'm a huge fan of the pink and yellow color combo.  It always reminds me of pink lemonade. I got this top over a year ago and I've worn it several times.  It's definitely one of my favorite finds from TJ Maxx.  It's so simple, but this is literally my only pink top.  My only concern with tucking tops into skirts is that sometimes, depending on the material, they can bulge out way too much.  I started pinning the tops to the skirt in the back and it's made a big difference.  If any of you ever have this problem too I would love to know any tricks you might do to fix it!

I'm wearing another beautiful bracelet from Mikay Love.  Just a reminder that each month, a portion of their proceeds goes to a charity to feed hungry children across the world.

Since October is breast cancer awareness month, I also wanted to wear something pink to show my support.  My grandmother is a breast cancer survivor and I remember how difficult and scary that time was for my family.  My heart goes out to all of those who have had to battle this disease.  Stay strong and don't give up the fight!

I hope you have a wonderful day.

Leather Details

I go through moments where I get either really dressed up or really dressed down and lately I've been going through more of a casual phase.  So today's look is super simple!

Bag: H&M/ Necklace: BlueNile/ Lipstick: Urban Decay Venom
Earrings: Aldo/ Rings: Juicy Couture & Berricle

A few days ago I went to my local Dots to check out their new pieces for fall.  I honestly haven't been to that store in awhile, but I did used to get things there from time to time.  They're really affordable and are all about offering the latest trends.  I tried a few different things on but really gravitated towards these two pieces the most because of the faux leather details.  I love how the sleeves transformed this simple tee into more of a statement piece.  I really like the tuxedo jeans too.  I've seen these everywhere lately.  I also got a faux leather moto vest that I will be wearing soon as well.  I guess I am going through a leather craze right now!  A huge bag trend this fall are satchels and top handles, so I got both in one with this bag.  To bring a little more to the look, I decided to add a purple lip and put my hair in a bun.  I always feel like a big bun can add the "chic factor" to an outfit.  Speaking of hair, I have some posts on new hair products and a new flat iron that I have been trying out coming to the blog soon.

On another note, if you have been following me for awhile then you know I have been singing and recording music almost my whole life.  But I took a step back from it for awhile (way too long).  I've been missing it too much lately so made the decision that I need to start incorporating it back into my life.  I went to the studio a few days ago and it was just the best feeling being back there and singing again.  A friend told me that "there is beauty in rediscovery." I couldn't agree more.  Sometimes we might be unsure of what we want, so we might walk away from something.  But if we find our way back then it's for a reason.  I just wanted to share this with you all <3

Happy Weekend loves!

Leopard & Leather

Happy Thursday :) I wore this outfit this past Sunday for brunch in Hoboken with my friend Jaclynn from Blazers & Bellinis.  Since part of her blog is about the art of brunch, she will be going to different places each Sunday to blog about the best brunch spots.  She invited me for the first one which was a lot of fun.  Brunch is my favorite.  I could eat breakfast food any time of the day!

I'm a huge fan of all black outfits because they pretty much work for any occasion.  I decided to throw in a pop of print with these leopard sandals that I have to say are extremely comfortable.  These are actually my first pair of leopard print shoes and I'm not sure why I never had a pair before.  They're such a great way to add a little element of surprise to an outfit and since they act as a neutral, there are so many styling options.  I really love the cutouts on this top because it makes such a simple piece stand out.  It would also look really cute tucked into a skirt but I decided to leave it out and paired it with these faux leather pants.  Leather details are such a big trend for fall!  I've been using this mini satchel almost every day and I've been pleasantly surprised by how many things I can actually fit inside.  I call it my Mary Poppins bag :)

I ended up getting the eggs benedict at Trinity in Hoboken.  It was delicious!

Have a great day!

Fall Statement Piece

 Happy October!
I wore this outfit last week for an event and the jacket literally came in that same morning.  I could not wait to wear it. I'm all about moto jackets and faux leather for this season so I thought this one was perfect.  The sleeves and detailing really make it stand out from all the other jackets that I have.  I think it's such a great statement piece for fall!

Jacket: C/O OASAP/ Pants: LoveShoppingMiami/ Top: Furor Moda
Shoes: Breckelles (similar style)/ Bag: Phillip Lim For Target
Bracelet: Mikay Love/ Necklace & Ring: Gorjana Griffin

Sometimes I know exactly how I want to style something and then there's times when I really have no idea until the last minute.  I definitely have my moments where I try on 5 different outfits before finding the right one.  That's kind of what happened with this look until I remembered I had these pants.  I got these last year and have always loved the snakeskin print and the neutrals colors.  I thought that this jacket would be a perfect match for them.  I wanted to keep the rest of the look neutral as well and just added a tiny pop of color with red lips.

Black and gold is one of my favorite color combos so I am loving this bracelet from Mikay Love.  Each month a portion of their proceeds is donated to a charity to feed hungry children around the world.  Make sure to check out all of their amazing pieces and help support the cause.

I hope you all have a great day!
