NYFW Day 6: Tribal Print

Almost done with fashion week posts!  On day 6, I did not have any shows at Lincoln Center.  At this point I had already checked out of the hotel and was staying at a friend's apartment for the remainder of my stay.  So during the day, I actually did a little shopping then at night I went to an outside presentation, to a show down in Soho and then out to dinner. It ended up being a busy night!  I was not able to shoot in this dress, so I took pics when I got back home.  I'll include pics from those events in my NYFW diary post :)

Dress: C/O Indulgera/ Shoes: Amazon (similar)/ Clutch: Aldo

Originally I wanted to wear red heels, but truthfully by day 6 my feet couldn't bare platform pumps!  So I added a pop of red with my lipstick instead as I typically do.  Black and white is such a classic color combo that I seriously cannot get enough of.  The tribal design on this dress definitely stands out, especially because it has long sleeves. I wish I had saved this for a much cooler day, because after being outside and running around from place to place, I was a hot mess by the end of the night lol

I really missed shooting with my mom!  I love shooting with other photographers and bloggers, but I am just so used to taking photos with my mom.  I am seriously so appreciative for all she does for me.  I've always had a close relationship with her, but we have grown even closer since I started my blog. Mother and daughter bonding is so special <3

Thank you for stopping by today!

NYFW Day 5: Floral & Studs For Tommy Hilfiger SS14

On day 5 I had two shows, Tommy Hilfiger at the Pier and Kaufman Franco in Lincoln at night.  I ended up changing into something a little more comfortable for the night show but wore this during the day for Tommy.  I decided to include photos from the TH show in today's post so I hope you like!

Dress (here) & Belt (similar): Forever21/ Blazer: C/O H&M (here)
Shoes: Charlotte Russe (here)/ Bag: OASAP (similar style)/ Earrings: C/O Prima Donna
Necklace, Ring, Cuff: C/O Gorjana Griffin/ Sunglasses: Charlotte Russe

I really tried to switch up my looks each day so for this one, I just wanted to go for something feminine with a little edge.  I really liked mixing the woven floral print with studs because it added a nice contrast. The material on the dress is actually really thick so I also felt that I needed a belt to define my waistline a bit more.  To bring out some color, I went with this blazer but kept it off my shoulders.  I didn't want this look to be too girly, so I went with these shoes because they also added some edginess.

I love my new necklace, ring & cuff from Gorjana Griffin!  They were at the Reward Style party and gifted a few pieces to all of the bloggers. This necklace is going to be great for layering with others. Speaking of accessories,  I wore these sunglasses a few times during fashion week.   Both aviator and wayfarers have become my favorite styles.  But I've been wanting to try out a pair of cat eye frames for the longest and I found a really great pair on BonLook.  They have cat eye frames for both sunglasses and prescription eyeglasses which is pretty cool :)

GET THE LOOK

Now on to the show!

The set up was amazing and inspired by the beach as you can see with the sand and wood floors and surf boards.  If you follow me on insta, then you probably saw a video I posted from the show.  The whole theme was very Cali Cool and heavily influenced by the West Coast.  There was lots of vibrant colors along with neoprene fabrics.  The pieces were very relaxed with a sporty touch.  Hilfiger even incorporated some Hawaiian prints in the mix.  The whole collection was very fun and modern and definitely captured the essence of the Cali lifestyle!

This was one of the shows that I got the best photos of because the space and lighting was completely different from Lincoln Center.  Some shows I did not get good photos at all but I will share whatever I can on the blog soon! Hope you enjoyed :)

NYFW Day 4: Black & White At Reward Style

Day 4 was so much fun!  I shot pics in the early afternoon then went to a Reward Style party on the Empire Rooftop where I was staying.  I got to meet so many fashion bloggers from all over.  Definitely a great time.  Then I had a show at night for Emerson at Lincoln Center.

Romper: Macys/ Shoes: Amazon (also love)/ Bag: OASAP (also love)
 Earrings: C/O PrimaDonna/ Belt: Forever21 (similar)/ Sunglasses: Charlotte Russe

When I went shopping for fashion week, I literally went to every store I could think of.  I honestly don't shop much at Macys, but I decided to go there and look.  I found this romper and it was only $25!  I fell in love with it because it kind of has a vintage vibe with the print.  I thought the sheer sleeves made it really different too and I added my favorite heart belt.  When I was styled for the Huff Post segment, I was put in a dress with a very similar print :)  I'm wearing gold monogram earrings with my N initial and these are now my new every day earrings!  I usually wear small earrings like this so these are perfect for me. This bag became my staple piece during fashion week.  It was the perfect size and definitely made a statement.  These shoes were also the most comfortable pair that I brought, so by day 4, I literally only wanted to wear these!

Similar Look

I was going to include these pics in my NYFW Diary but decided to do it for this post instead.  I only got a few snaps at the RS party, but I really had such a great time and met some fab bloggers!

Naty Grams

Had so much fun with blogger babe Nashelly from FabuLatina.

I got to see the lovely Aimee Song from Song Of Style again.  I met her for the first time last year at FNO but this time I got to chat with her a little more.  She really is so sweet and down to earth.  Definitely one of my favorites.

I also got to see Julie from Sincerely Jules again.  I met her when I went to Miami for the Cotton contest.   And I got to meet Wendy from WendysLookBook for the first time!  I love her videos and style and she was also so down to earth.  They're both so sweet.  Makes me love them that much more!

Halfway through NYFW posts!  Anxious to post new looks so I might start doubling up on these.  I still have my coverage from the shows so I will probably do them all for one post.  I seriously have to get back to my youtube videos too, so I am going to try my best and film one this week.
Thanks for stopping by loves!

NYFW Day 3: Subtle Prints

Happy Monday beauties!
I can't believe I am only on the 3rd outfit from fashion week.  You are all going to get tired of me talking about it but I promise as soon as I finish sharing everything things will get back to normal.  On day 3 I only had one show to attend at night for Venexiana. (gorgeous dresses!)  During the day I took pics, had lunch and went to visit a showroom that I will post about in my NYFW Diary coming soon! I decided to go for something a little more simple this day by mixing subtle prints.

Jacket (here), Top, Skirt (similar), Necklace: C/O H&M
Shoes: Prabal Gurung For Target/ Bag (here): H&M
Sunglasses: Charlotte Russe/ Bracelet (gifted): Rebecca Minkoff (here)

I thought this skirt was super cute and I really loved the print & style. It's really girly and chic, just the way I like it!  I didn't want to go with a plain top, so I found this one that has an embroidered print and decided to pair the two together.  It was hard to see the details from far away, but up close in these photos it stands out much more. I have a huge obsession with moto jackets so I got really happy when I found this one at H&M because it's a velvet material, making it a little dressier.  I like mixing different textures. I think it adds dimension.  The final touch was my red lip and this pretty statement necklace to make the outfit pop a little more.

And here's a few more shots that my little designer friend Lindsay snapped :)

I lived off of skinny vanilla lattes during fashion week!  One of the best things in NYC is that there's a Starbucks on almost every block.

So much more to come this week so stay tuned :)
Have a lovely day!
