Old Navy Fall Collection Preview

I know summer is right around the corner but the fashion industry is always a season ahead.  Last night I had the pleasure of attending Old Navy's Fall Collection Preview at the Gap showroom in NYC with fellow blogger Erika from Lola Blue. The amazing thing was that everything in the showroom was under $55 except for one coat!  It was great to get a first look at the collection before it hits stores and online and now I get to share it with all of you!  I've shopped at Old Navy for years so this was such a great experience for me.  I definitely loved all of the set ups.  The best thing about Old Navy is that there's something for everyone: women, men, children and even maternity.
This will be a long post with photos, so enjoy! :)

With the lovely Erika.  Love that we both wore nude ankle strap sandals!

Such cute flats.

Prints and coated jeans are big for the Fall.

One of the best accessories for the Fall season.

I love that they're putting embellishments on simple staple pieces like this sweatshirt to add some extra flare.

Such a fab Americana collection!  Denim craze <3

You know I love mustaches!

One of my favorite coats from the collection.  Loved the faux fur trim.

START LIVING YOUR DREAMS!

Old Navy gave us some great beach swagg!  We got to choose our own colors & prints too.  Our gift bags included a swim cover up dress, beach bag, sandals, and a beach towel.  Can't wait to use them this summer!

And now for the outfit details

Dwell In Possibility

Photo Cred: Grant Legan

Here's a little inspo for today:

When you believe in yourself, anything is possible.  It sounds so cliche but it's the truth.  I think that sometimes we can be our own worst enemies.  We get inside our heads and tend to fill them up with insecurities and doubts.  We doubt our dreams and capabilities. It happens to us all at some point or another, typically when we are struggling with something or feeling discouraged.  But the most important thing to remember is that a positive mind is extremely powerful and if we can turn those doubts and fears into faith then really, anything is possible.  The world is filled with endless opportunities.  Sometimes things fall apart so that better things can come together.  So if something doesn't work out the way you hoped it would don't get discouraged and don't let that be a reason why you stop following your dreams.  Your time will come.  Just be patient and know that everything happens in it's own time.

If you want something, go out and get it.  Make it happen.
Dwell in possibility

Candy Colors

Happy colorful Monday!  I hope that you all had a great weekend.  I am so excited I got a new lens! My mom is still trying to figure out how to use it though so hopefully she did a good job with these pics! lol

Blazer: C/O MollyLA/ Shirt: H&M/ Skirt: C/O OASAP/ Shoes: C/O Bakers

There's something great about wearing bright colors on a warm spring/summer day.  It instantly lifts my spirits.  I feel like a big swirly lollipop!  As soon as this beautiful printed blazer came in from MollyLA, I knew exactly how I wanted to style it.  I was waiting patiently for this OASAP skirt to come in so that I could pair these two pieces together.  I've really been trying to switch things up and experiment a little more with colors and prints. I think it's so necessary to do that from time to time so that your style can continue to evolve.  Since there's already so much going on color wise with the mint skirt and blazer, I typically would have worn a white top, but to spice things up a bit I went with this neon one.  The blazer really helps tie the whole look together but the color block outfit would still look fab without it.  I feel super springy!

I have a really busy week ahead filled with a couple of meetings and an event and I have so much that I want to post.  Hopefully I can get it all in this week! Have a lovely day beauties.

EvolveMINT

Happy Friday!  Here's another outfit that I shot in Chicago with Grant Legan! We took so many in this look so it was really hard for me to narrow it down.  But since it's not every day that I get to shoot with him I figured a ton of photos wouldn't hurt :)

Photography: Grant Legan

Cardigan:  Forever21(shop similar)/ Shirt & Jeans: H&M/ Shoes: Love Culture/ Bag: C/O Charlotte Russe
Sunnies: H&M/ Jersey Necklace: C/O MoonAndLola

Mint is one of my favorite colors so I fell in love with this aztec print poncho/cardi.  It also came in hot pink and I almost got that one too.  I love the way Grant captured it blowing in the wind in some of the shots.  It's such a great cover up for those breezy spring days.  I wanted it to really pop so I decided to do white on white with the rest of my look.  I got these jeans right before I left also.  It's always difficult finding the right pair.  After trying on a bunch these were the best ones I found.  I'm wearing my favorite lucite heels again and I'm obsessed with this mint messenger bag.  The extra added touch was my Jersey state necklace and mirrored aviators.  I can't say enough how much I love the style of these photos.  It's so refreshing to switch it up from time to time and get a little more creative.

When thinking of names for this post I really wanted to play on the word mint.  I literally went over a bunch of words and suddenly the word evolvement popped in my head and it instantly clicked.  I am always talking about evolving and personal growth.  I truly believe that I have evolved so much with my blog.  Looking at these photos and then looking back to when I first started it is just so crazy how much has changed in a years time.  I am so thankful!  It's all about forward movement.  Keep building!

Have a lovely weekend and most importantly,
HAVE FUN!
